The Osteria L'iero d'Eimà was born from a bet: is it possible to experience the mountains while respecting its indigenous inhabitants (human and non-human)? We believe so and you, since we opened in April 2023, have undoubtedly been proving us right, coming to visit us to taste our cruelty free dishes and wines (and, as far as possible, organic and 0 km), and to stay in the our rooms.
The structure is the result of the skilful restoration of a barn ("L'iero d'Eimà", in Occitan, means "Emma's barn"), where every space has been recovered with ingenuity: from the bathroom of one of the bedrooms, previously a chicken coop, to the room that we dedicate to those who travel the GTA (Great Crossing of the Alps which means Great Crossing of the Alps, we are an official stop), created in the attic making use of every available centimeter.
By staying here you will have the opportunity to see the stars like never before, thanks to the collaboration with the observatory managed by Bellino's amateur astronomers and take care of yourself thanks to Thai massages, motor awareness sessions and much more resulting from the partnership with Cultura Movimento by Eleonora Aschero.
Reaching us is easy: we are in the center of Celle, in Bellino, in the second Varaita valley, in the province of Cuneo. The road takes you easily to the village where, from the car park, you can reach the Osteria by walking for a couple of minutes.
Even though we are convinced anti-speciesist vegans, we struggle to define Osteria L'iero d'Eima as "vegan". This is because veganism is a concept, a practice, a philosophy that goes far beyond the relationship with food; this is the reason why you will not find “vegan restaurant” written anywhere.
What else? Come and visit us! Between food, wine, massages, stars and sundials (to stay within 100 meters of the Osteria) you will be delighted! Let's not even begin to talk about the wonderful Monviso Alps... YOU MUST come and discover them! We are waiting for you.
